Barry S. Yarckin, M.D.

Dr. Barry Yarckin has served West Orange County since 1985. Dr. Yarckin was born in Massachusetts and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Massachusetts in 1978. He completed his residency at the Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

 

Dr. Yarckin is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His commitment and devotion to the well being of his patients is unwavering. He prides himself on getting to truly know his patients and enjoys watching his patients grow into healthy young adults. Dr. Yarckin is also well qualified to diagnose and manage patients with ADD/ADHD.

 

Dr. Yarckin has four wonderful children and 3 grandchildren. His hobbies include music, movies, jogging and watching two of his favorite sports teams, the Orlando Magic and New England Patriots.

Kevin O'Brien, D.O.

Dr. Kevin O’Brien graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology.  Following graduation, he attended Nova Southeastern University and earned the degree of Doctor of Osteopathy.  Dr. O’Brien completed 3 years of general pediatric residency training at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children where he worked with Dr. Yarckin.  Dr. O’Brien is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

 

Dr O'Brien lives with his wife and son in nearby downtown Winter Garden. He regularly runs and
participates with the office annually in the local Gift of Swimming 5K. He is an avid Tesla driver &
enthusiast. The O'Brien family loves to travel (Australia, Ecuador, Northern Europe, Ireland, Italy
and Baja Peninsula, Niagara Falls and Hawaii are some of the more exciting destinations
they've been to), and they routinely play host to international students and locally-rotating
medical students giving their house the nickname, "Hotel O'Brien". Dr O'Brien's son was born
prematurely and he has considerable personal experience in many of the issues that arise from
premature birth.

Lindsay Knapp Mann, MMS,PA-C

Lindsay Knapp Mann was born in Morgantown, WV and raised in the Orlando area. In 2004, she went to the University of Florida and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. In 2009, Lindsay attended the Physician Assistant program at Nova Southeastern University. Upon graduation in 2011, Lindsay proudly became board certified and decided to work close to family and friends in Orlando.

 

Following in the footsteps of her mother, a pediatrician, Lindsay pursued a career in pediatrics.  While growing up, she watched the example her mother set as a physician. Lindsay is dedicated and committed to caring for children.

 

Lindsay and her husband, Lee, are excited to be parents to Lucas and Layne. Lindsay enjoys spending time outdoors and her hobbies include scuba diving, golf, and of course watching her favorite sports team, The Florida Gators.

Robin, Nurse

Robin, our head nurse, has been part of the West Orlando Pediatrics family for over 25 years.
She is a familiar and trusted face to our patients and loved by all who meet her. As our head
nurse, Robin leads our clinical team to ensure we provide the best care possible to our patients.
Robin has 3 grown boys and 3 grandchildren. She enjoys reading when she finds spare time.
